Situation:
Fiber-tech's mandrels used
in making fiber reinforced pipe and ducting products had deteriorated from use
and required re-skinning.
Solution:
We removed the old skin
reinforced the internal structure, Upon removal and inspection of the
sub-frame, it was clear that many stress fractures were present. To
insure the final product would last we contacted Fiber-Tech to explain the
situation and proceeded to repair the stress fractures. Only after we were
satisfied that the sub-frame would hold up to continued stress of continues
work, we cut and rolled new steel skin creating a seamless circle the length
of the 23' long mandrels.
Results:
Fiber-tech has been very
pleased with our work stating it is the best re-skin work they have had
completed. We take pride in the overall project and insure that what
is not visible is up to spec for a lasting product.
With our in-house
capabilities, we are able to start and complete projects completely within
budget and out the door within one week.
